The MSI VIGOR GK71 SONIC For Making Mechanical Keyboard Music

MSI Or Kailh Switches And A Fancy Wrist Rest

The MSI VIGOR GK71 SONIC mechanical keyboard offers a few things that help it stand out from the hordes of similar products.  The volume wheel at the top right extends below the keyboard’s top plate to allow you to easily spin it and pressing it down will instantly mute your computer audio.  In addition, the wrist rest is made of memory foam with eight rubber feet and cable management runs underneath as well, though it lacks magnets to connect it to the body of the keyboard.

You can choose between MSI and Kailh switches, Tweaktown’s test unit used MSI SONIC RED LINEAR switches with an actuation distance of 1.9mm, a total travel of 4mm, with 35 grams of force to depress it.  If you want to take full advantage of the keyboard, you will unfortunately need to visit the Windows Store to install the MSI Center software.
